Beatrice Söderberg is a concert pianist born and raised in New York City. She has earned recognition in numerous international competitions, holding prizes from the American Protégé International Piano Competition (USA), the Farida Dina Primer Concurso de Piano Iberoamericano (Dominican Republic), and the Burgos International Music Festival Competition (Spain). She studied under the tutelage of Professor Ubaldo Diaz Acosta at the Manhattan School of Music Precollege Division and at the Aaron Copland School of Music (CUNY Queens College), where she earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance.

At age fourteen, Ms. Söderberg began her career performing Mendelssohn’s Capriccio Brillante with conductor Laurine Fox and the Celebrate Orchestra in New York City. Since then, she has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and concertized throughout the United States, Europe and South America.

In the 2024-2025 season, Ms. Söderberg Yibirin won the Concerto Competition at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), performing the first movement of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor with the UTEP Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Bohuslav Rattay. She was also First Prize Winner of the 2025 Borderland Chopin Piano Competition, where her interpretations were praised as “impressive” and “very powerful.” As the winner, she was awarded a full scholarship to attend the 2025 Gijón International Piano Festival in Spain.

In 2026, Ms. Söderberg Yibirin graduated summa cum laude from UTEP with a Master of Music in Piano Performance, studying under Dr. Dena Kay Jones. In addition to holding a Teaching Assistant position at UTEP, Ms. Söderberg Yibirin was also the pianist for the UTEP Wind Symphony, performing under the direction of Dr. Andrew Hunter at the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Southwestern Division Conference in Denton, Texas.

Ms. Söderberg has been a recent guest artist in the Música de Camara concert series in New York City and she is currently a 2026 Young Artist for the Washington International Young Artist Music Series (WIYAMS). She enjoys bringing lesser performed works to her audiences, programming composers from Spain, Latin America and women composers, among others.
